Born in 2024 at Åbytravet in Mölndal, Gothenburg Rock Riot launched with an unforgettable debut lineup featuring legendary acts like Nazareth, the heavy-hitting Corroded, and the electrifying Bonafide. This powerful start cemented the festival’s place as a must-attend event for rock and metal fans.
Now, we’re back and louder than ever! On March 22nd, get ready for a new chapter featuring iconic drummer Mikkey Dee, the melodic force of Dead By April, the energetic vibes of Cyhra, the raw power of Knogjärn, and more.
Our vision is to evolve into one of the west coast's premier rock and metal festivals, bringing together fans and artists to create memories that last a lifetime.

However, we also recognize the importance of responsibly enjoying certain festival amenities. In the beer gardens, where adult beverages flow freely, we kindly request that attendees be over 18 years old. Outside food and drinks may not be allowed, but there will be numerous food stalls and beverage options available onsite.

The festival grounds will open at 13:00 and the first band will hit the stage at 14:00.

Where and When
The festival takes place at Åbytravet in Mölndal on March 22nd, from 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM.
Transportation
The regular bus line 753 runs from Heden, passing through Vasaplatsen, to Åbytravet (stop: Åby Arenastad). From there, it's a 410-meter walk. Bus 25, towards Fässbergsgymnasiet, is also an option. Bus 751 (Frölunda Torg-Mölndal-Mölnlycke) stops at the Stallbacken station. From there, it's an 8-minute walk to the main entrance. Åbytravet also offers a large parking lot with 2000 spaces for those who prefer to drive.

In direct connection to the festival, you'll find our hotel partner Åbyhotel. Åbyhotel is a 4-star hotel with a carnival theme. Åby Hotel offers an advantageous hotel package that includes accommodation and festival entry.
